1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the hky.bio website and services ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

hky.bio is a link-in-bio platform designed for hockey players. The Service allows users to create a personalized profile page to share stats, highlights, and information with scouts, coaches, and fans. To help you build your profile, the Service uses the name and date of birth you provide to find and suggest information about you from publicly available online sources (see Section 5). Access is currently invite-only; if you do not have an invite code, joining the waitlist reserves your preferred username.

3. Waitlist & Username Reservation

• Joining the waitlist is free and does not guarantee a specific launch date.
• Usernames are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
• We reserve the right to reclaim usernames that are inactive, misleading, infringe trademarks, or violate these Terms.
• Username reservations may expire if you do not activate your account within 30 days of the platform's launch.

4. User Accounts & Eligibility

When creating an account or joining the waitlist, you agree to:

• Be at least 13 years old; if you are under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Not create accounts for the purpose of impersonating others
• Not create multiple accounts to reserve multiple usernames

5. Information We Find For You

When you sign up, the Service automatically searches publicly available sources to find information that appears to relate to you and suggests it for your profile. This is described in our Privacy Notice. You acknowledge and agree that:

• This information comes from third-party sources and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or relate to someone else;
• You are responsible for reviewing suggested information and choosing what to keep, edit, or remove before it appears on your public profile;
• hky.bio does not warrant the accuracy of any automatically discovered information and is not liable for its content;
• You will only publish information you have the right to share, and you will not use the Service to compile or publish information about other people without a lawful basis.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Distribute spam or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the Service without permission

7. Intellectual Property

The hky.bio name, logo, design, and all related intellectual property are owned by hky.bio. You retain ownership of content you upload to your profile, but grant hky.bio a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute that content as part of the Service.

8. Purchases, Subscriptions & Refunds

Some profiles sell digital products, such as training programs, documents, and video content. Payments are processed by Stripe. hky.bio is the merchant of record for these sales: the charge appears on your statement as HKY.BIO, and we pass the proceeds to the seller.

One-time purchases are final. Digital products are delivered immediately after payment, so purchases are not refundable. If a product is not what was described, is never delivered, or something has otherwise gone wrong, contact us at support@hky.bio and we will look at it individually.

Subscriptions renew until you cancel. Some products are sold as a subscription and are billed every month or every year at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. The price and the billing period are stated on the product page and again at checkout. You can cancel at any time from your access page, without contacting anyone. When you cancel, access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for and is not renewed after that. We do not refund part of a period you have used, and we do not refund periods that have already been billed.

If a renewal payment fails, we keep your access open for a short retry period while your bank is asked again. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and access stops. If a seller stops providing what a subscription was sold as, contact us at support@hky.bio: we are the merchant of record and we will deal with it.

You do not need an hky.bio account to buy. After payment we email an access link to the address you provide at checkout. That link is your access, it does not expire while access lasts, and anyone holding it can open what you bought and manage the billing behind it, so treat it as private. If a purchase is refunded, or a subscription ends, the access link stops working.

Sellers are independent of hky.bio and are responsible for the content they sell and for delivering it. Sellers must be 18 or older and complete Stripe's verification before they can accept payments.

9. Communications

By joining the waitlist, you consent to receive transactional emails (e.g., account confirmations, launch updates) and marketing communications (e.g., offers, news, feature announcements). You may opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. hky.bio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (if any).

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account and data at any time by contacting us at support@hky.bio.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration.
